Projects
DCC often have a variety of projects ongoing in support of the wider community. Here are some underway at present or recently completed.
Pavement & Road Condition:
Following the audit in 2014, some remedial work has been undertaken - although it is recognised the quality is not great. DCC in conjunction with Councillor Andy Campbell are pursuing it with Ayrshire Roads Alliance. In particular the pavement outside the Fullerton Ave SHU where the pavement is seriously damaged and preventing residents from access outside.

Review of traffic:
An exercise is underway to significantly reduce the level of HGV traffic going through the village and to resolve the issues caused by the installation of speed tables which have created major noise problem as defined by South Ayrshire Council Environmental Health Service. Discussion has taken place with ARA and also Councillors to arrive at possible solutions for the wider traffic issues affecting our community - speeding on the outskirts, noise, vehicle damage, changing driver habits.

Bus Services:
DCC have actively been pursing the matter with MSP, MP's and relevant others. We have been told that SPT will put the service 21 to tender later in the year with a view to continuing it. We have still to receive written confirmation of that.
